Lucas Biglia spoke for the first time after the incident of January. The midfielder left for Argentina during the winter break, but returned too late to Anderlecht and missed the training camp.

Many suggested that Biglia was trying to force a transfer to a larger competition. By not showing up, under the guise of having migraine, he tried to force a lower transfer fee which would facilitate his transfer.

Yet now he reveals what really happened: "I set goals for myself that I couldn't realise. Because of that, I put a lot of pressure on myself and that brought me to the brink of a depression."

"The day before I wanted to leave for the training camp, I woke up and I had a smashing headache and a lot of pain behind my eyes. I was incapable of doing anything. I spent 10 days in my bed. According to the doctors I was suffering from stress. Also my sister, who is going to be a psychologist, pointed me on that. Setting goals is good, but they have to be realistic", he concluded.
