TRANSFERS - OTHER The judge has ruled in favour of Anderlecht in their case against Jason Lokilo. The club demanded a compensation of 450.000 euro but will receive 140.000 euro on court order. The club had made a legally binding agreement with the player and his parents stating the player should sign a contract in Brussels as soon as he reaches the age of 16 (the minimum age in Belgium to be able to sign contracts).

When Lokilo became 16 years old, he refused to sign this contract and left for Crystal Palace. The court has now ruled in favour of RSC Anderlecht in the case, which immediately creates a precedent: Belgian clubs can now bind minor (-16y) to the club.

It's likely Lokilo will lodge an appeal.
