GAMES - OTHER Anyone hopin watch football at Lotto Park in August should leave that hope again. RSC Anderlecht announced that it will end two games at home in August behind closed doors. The increasing rate of corona infections are the basis of this decision.

These are the matches on August 16 against Excelrsior Mouscron and August 23 against KAS Eupen. Only players and staff from both teams, delegations from both clubs, television production employees, the media and necessary operational employees will be able to enter Lotto Park, the press release says.

"We made this difficult decision after the recent events of the pandemic. Together with the municipality of Anderlecht, we chose to serve the public interest by taking as little risk as possible in terms of public health. I would like to thank the various services in our municipality for the excellent cooperation", says RSCA CEO, Karel Van Eetvelt.

Fabrice Cumps, Mayo of Anderlecht, adds: We must take the recent development of the virus seriously. It is vital not to take any risks. I am very pleased that the RSC Anderlecht and the municipality are on the same page in the focus of the organization of the competition during the month of August".
