Kompany and Cullen start with victory

OTHER No, you won't be reading a report of Burnley's games here every week, but the first one we want to give you anyway. Vincent Kompany made his debut for his new club last night with a 0-1 victory at Huddersfield. Burnley thus started the league well.


Kompany's stamp was immediately visible. His team had 70 per cent of the ball and in the first half it gave no less than 301 passes. Last season Burnley only reached that number twice in a full match.

Josh Cullen played the whole game, as did Taylor Harwood-Bellis. Cullen received a yellow card and was named Man of the Match.
