Official: Hubert joins Futures

TRANSFERS - 1B Anderlecht have announced the arrival of David Hubert. The 34-year-old central midfielder should bring the Futures the necessary experience in the Challenger Pro League.


Anderlecht initially thought of Guillaume Gillet (assistant to Felice Mazzù in the meantime) and Jérémy Taravel (retired) as experienced player for the U23. In the end, Hubert will be the senior player at purple-white in 1B.

Hubert is 34 and played almost his entire career in Belgium. He played 123 games for Racing Genk and 89 for Oud-Heverlee Leuven. Since last summer he played for Zulte Waregem, but there he no longer fitted in the plans of Mbaye Leye.

The RSCA Futures make their debut in the Challenger Pro League (the former 1B) tomorrow evening with a home game against Deinze.
