OTHER On the evening before the European match between Anderlecht and Young Boys Bern, riots broke out in Brussels between hooligans from both clubs. Brasserie Le Falstaff near the Beursplein was smashed to pieces.

Around 9 pm masked men started throwing furniture and smashing windows. "It was a scuffle between two supporter groups," Ilse Van de Keere of the Brussels police told Gazet van Antwerpen. Both hooligans from Young Boys and Anderlecht were involved. "On the basis of the camera images, we have also already been able to identify most of the Anderlecht supporters," the police release. 23 Swiss people were detained.

Last week, 30 to 40 Anderlecht fans were attacked in Switzerland. "Presumably this was revenge for last week's confrontation," the police said.
