TRANSFERS Anderlecht risk losing a promising young player with Luca Monticelli. Le Soir reports that Monticelli's contract expires in June and Anderlecht has not yet made any preparations to extend it. So his entourage has started talks with six foreign clubs.

The 17-year-old Monticelli (he will turn 18 in a month's time) joined Anderlecht from Standard in 2019. A year later, he signed a first, three-year professional contract. This season, the striker is captain of the U18 and already scored 15 goals there. He was also allowed to play regularly with the RSCA Futures in 1B.

According to Le Soir, the dismissal of Jean Kindermans and the vacuum created at the sporting top of purple-white are partly the reason why Monticelli has not yet heard anything from purple-white. To foreign interest otherwise no use. Three Italian, two German and one French club are showing interest. Monticelli's entourage already started talks.
