Official: Dreyer first winter transfer

TRANSFERS Anderlecht have just announced the transfer of Anders Dreyer. The Dane comes over from Midtjylland and signs for 4.5 years. "This was a unique opportunity to bring in a player like Anders," says CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg.


Dreyer has a market value estimated at €9 million, but his contract at Midtjylland contained a clause allowing him to leave for €4.25 million. Anderlecht has now taken advantage of that.

"Anders is a real team player, he is decisive and has many individual qualities. As a hard-working and clever player, he is equally good without the ball," Fredberg describes his acquisition. "He is young, but already has a lot of experience on his counter. And above all, his qualities fit perfectly with the style of play we are implementing at the club. We also got to know Anders as someone with a good mentality, which is also important for us."

Dreyer is a 24-year-old flank attacker. He played 100 games for Midtjylland. In those, he scored 35 times and provided 29 assists. He has also played twice for the Danish national team.

At Anderlecht, Dreyer will play with number 36.
