Refaelov says farewell to Belgium

OTHER Lior Refaelov will not continue his football career in our country. In a post on Instagram, he said goodbye to Belgium. He posted a collage with pictures as a player of Club Brugge, Antwerp and Anderlecht and with the Golden Shoe. Along with it the words 'Thank you Belgium', followed by hearts in black, yellow and red.


Refaelov had hoped to stay on in Belgium. His family is settled in Antwerp, where they have just built a new house and his sons play football. It seems he will now return to Israel. According to media reports, he will join Maccabi Haifa, but that news is not yet official.

Several Anderlecht players already reacted to Refaelov's news. "Congratulations on your great career in Belgium, boss," wrote goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. Benito Raman, Theo Leoni, Francis Amuzu and Kristoffer Olsson also showed their appreciation.
