Verbruggen continues strong performance at EC U21

GAMES The Belgian and Dutch U23 played 0-0 draw in their first match at the European Championship. Both Zeno Debast (Belgium) and Bart Verbruggen (Netherlands) played the whole match. Verbruggen was named 'Man of the Match' afterwards, quite rightly.


Against tournament favorite the Netherlands, the Belgians dominated. The Young Devils had several good chances, but Verbruggen kept a clean sheet. "It's nice that you can help the team. Sometimes on the ball and sometimes with saves, but everyone contributes," he told NOS afterwards.
