TRANSFERS No one will be surprised by the news, but it is now official. Goalkeeper Hendrik Van Crombrugge is leaving Anderlecht for Racing Genk. Van Crombrugge signed a contract for three seasons there.

Van Crombrugge came over from Eupen in 2019, leaving Anderlecht with a reliable goalkeeper once again. Van Crombrugge played 120 games for Anderlecht and was also out for a while with a back injury. Last season, Bart Verbruggen took the goalkeeper's place, who in the meantime also acted as captain.

Van Crombrugge on his departure: "Leaving Anderlecht after four years is more difficult than I thought. I hope people will remember me - not so much because of the sporting, but everything around it."

CEO Fredberg: "We are aware that the last six months have been difficult for Hendrik. Therefore, we are also glad that we have found a solution that works for all parties."
