INTERVIEWS With his first assist in the Anderlecht shirt, Thorgan Hazard put Anderlecht on the road to the three-pointer against KV Mechelen. The ultimate summer transfer is playing better and better and that does not escape coach Brian Riemer. After the match, he sprinkled compliments. "Thorgan is so clever," he said.

Riemer explained that one of Hazard's greatest qualities is that he always knows where the spaces are. "Usually before everyone else has seen it," the coach said. "His intelligence makes him an absolute top player. He has a nose to always find the free player."

Left, right, center: Hazard can (and does) pop up everywhere. "That's how he creates confusion and chaos for the opponent." The interplay with Augustinsson, Dreyer and Dolberg also runs smoothly, according to Riemer.

Now the issue for Hazard is to keep that top level for an entire game. Halfway through the second half, his coil was off. Not illogical, thinks Riemer, who is therefore not worried. "In past seasons, Thorgan didn't often play the whole game. He still needs to grow a bit in that, something you don't do overnight."

Riemer concludes by stating that he sees improvement in Hazard's play every game.
