GAMES - OTHER Brian Riemer's wish has come true: Club Bruges and Union St.-Gilloise played a draw tonight (2-2). As a result, Anderlecht is once again at the top of the table, tied on points with Club Brugge. Union is three points behind. This draw sets up Anderlecht to potentially win the league title next Sunday at home against Bruges.
If Union fails to win earlier in the day against Cercle and Anderlecht defeats Club Bruges in the evening at the Lotto Park, Anderlecht will secure their 35th league title.
Regardless, if Anderlecht defeats Club Bruges on Sunday, they will be out of the title race. If Union wins, Anderlecht will only need a draw a week later against Antwerp. If Union fails to win against Genk on the final matchday, Anderlecht can even afford themselves a defeat.
