Anderlecht opens season at home against Westerlo

GAMES - OTHER The calendar of the Jupiler Pro League has just been announced. Anderlecht opens the season on July 27 at home against Westerlo. The following week, purple-white has to go to Cercle Brugge.

Anderlecht can best get as many points as possible in the first four match days against (with all due respect) on paper achievable opponents, because from match day 5 to 8 it meets four clubs from the previous Champions play-offs with Gent (home), Union (away), Genk (home) and Antwerp (home). Possibly another match will be postponed in August if Anderlecht would advance to the play-offs of the Europa or Conference League. Anderlecht will play Standard at home on October 4 and Club Brugge at home on November 8. That means it will play a lot of top games at home in the first round.

It is also striking that on the first match day, two top games are already scheduled with Antwerp - Union and Club Brugge - Genk.
