1B - OTHER Following a ruling by the Council of State, the temporary stand at the Deinze stadium will have to be torn down. This is bad news for the RSCA Futures, who would play their home games there next season. Because without that grandstand, the stadium does not meet the requirements for 1B.

After a complaint, the Council of State annulled the environmental permit for the temporary stand. The grandstand has 4,200 seats. Those seats are needed to meet the required capacity for games in 1B.

Without the stand in question, the stadium has 3,482 seats, of which 792 are seats. A capacity of 4,000 seats, including 1,200 seats, is needed for 1B.

Part of the temporary stand has already been demolished in the meantime. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, there is a possibility that an agreement can still be found to leave another part in place. In that case, sufficient capacity would remain.

To be continued without delay.
