YOUTH - TRANSFERS What had been in the air for some time is now official: 16-year-old Samory Kone is leaving Anderlecht for Ajax. "We are pleased that another talented player has chosen Ajax," says Director of Football Marijn Beuker. "Samory showed at Anderlecht that he has enormous potential." Kone signed a contract with Ajax running until mid-2028. The winger featured for Anderlecht's U18s but will join Ajax's U16s in Amsterdam.
"Samory is an explosive winger who brings a lot of creativity," Beuker adds. "He is technically very gifted and strong in one-on-one situations. He comes from Anderlecht's renowned youth academy and has demonstrated immense potential there." "We are glad that, thanks to the good work of our youth scouting, another talented player has opted for Ajax," Beuker concludes. "We are confident he will continue to develop with us."
