Continue reading Where do we still need reinforcements? The answer is simple: almost everywhere. Goalkeepers: the only stable position, with Coosemans as the starter and Heekeren as the backup. Center back: we need an additional reinforcement. Biancone and Pétrot seem reliable, but the depth is thin. Left and right back: there is quality here, but also a high susceptibility to injury. Wings and attack: this is where the shoe pinches the hardest. Bornauw himself speaks of the need for a “serious injection of quality.” Bertaccini and Degreef could be sold if a good offer comes along. Following the departure of Luis Vázquez, only Sikan and Cvetkovic remain up front: far too few for a club aiming for the top of the standings.
