YOUTH - TRANSFERS Jarne Flies is leaving Anderlecht permanently to join the Italian club Lecce. For the past six months, he has been playing on loan for the Italian club's U20 team. After thirteen years, this marks the end of Flies' time at Anderlecht.
Flies joined Anderlecht in 2013, at the age of 6, from Rupel-Boom. After a year at Neerpede, he moved to KV Mechelen, but returned just one year later. He remained there until January of this year.
“After 12 seasons with Belgium's biggest club, I can only look back with pride,” Flies wrote in his farewell post on Instagram. “I want to thank everyone: the coaches, the staff, the board, and everyone connected to the purple and white. You were my home, where I returned every year and every day. My story ends here, at this wonderful club. You will always remain in my heart!"
