We’re only halfway there

GAMES Anderlecht can take a major step toward European football until at least December against PAOK. After their 0-1 win in Greece, a draw at Lotto Park is enough to secure qualification. Still, coach Vítor Bruno is keeping his feet on the ground. “It is only half the job.

We have achieved nothing yet,” the Portuguese manager stressed. Bruno has confidence in his team and his approach, but expects a fierce battle against the Greeks. With a sold-out Lotto Park behind them, Anderlecht want to impose their own game once again. “PAOK remain a strong and dangerous opponent. We have to be ready for an enormous fight, but of course we want to impose our will on them.” For Anderlecht's young squad, European certainty until the end of the year would be a fine reward. Bruno, however, wants to look beyond qualification alone. “We are not setting ourselves limits. We want to achieve more and more. We have to keep developing that winning mentality.”
