OTHER During Freiburg's European match against Motherwell, Keisuke Goto made his debut for the German club in the 80th minute. The former Anderlecht striker did so in style: deep into injury time, he sealed the final score.
With the score at 1–2, Freiburg were awarded a corner in the 95th minute. Goto headed it unstoppably into the net. Thanks to this 1–3 victory, Freiburg are very close to securing a place in the Conference League group stage. Next week, they must seal the deal at home.
The Bundesliga doesn't kick off until next weekend. Freiburg will open their campaign on Sunday 30 August with an away match against Werder Bremen.
