OTHER Anderlecht's white away shirt is proving hugely popular with supporters. In the club shop, they are flying off the shelves to such an extent that Adidas is currently scheduling a new delivery every week to meet demand. The evening of the season's first home match, the European clash with Hammarby, was a bumper day in the club shop. The white shirt, inspired by the jersey Anderlecht wore when it won its first European trophy in 1976, sold like hot cakes.
According to Sporza, only size XS is currently still available, and Adidas is now delivering new shirts every week. Anderlecht has already sold twice as many shirts as it had at the same point last year, all shirts counted together.
