RSCA Women open against Westerlo

The Lotto Super League playing schedule was just so recently revealed. The league kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 6. On the opening day of play, vice-champion Anderlecht hosts KVC Westerlo at 6:30 pm. The regular league consists of 21 rounds of play and runs until March 22. After the regular competition, the playoffs will begin in early April and conclude no later than May 24. Silke Vanwynsberghe, the 28-year-old defender of the RSCA Women, has decided to hang up her soccer shoes. Despite her relatively young age, she struggled with injuries. 25-year-old Swedish striker Klara Folkesson has signed a one-year contract with the RSCA Women. She comes over from Hammarby IF, where she and the team finished third in the Swedish championship last season. Folkesson previously played for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus and Uppsala, where she scored 10 goals in 2023 despite her club's relegation.
