Anderlecht will face APOEL Nicosia this evening in the 1/8th final of the Europa League. Kara Mbodj and Ivan Obradovic are out with injuries. Further, it remains to be seen whether coach Weiler will swap most of his first team like he did against Zenit St. Petersburg or not. APOEL cannot count on the services of their best striker Sotiriou. Anderlecht lost yesterday evening with 3-2 against KV Mechelen. The Mauves came back after a 2-0 score at half time, but Mechelen player Matthys scored the winning goal a few minutes before the end. Due to the defeat of Club Bruges, Anderlecht remain first, together with Bruges. Read more »

Anderlecht beat Racing Genk this evening with 2-0. Thanks to this victory, the Mauves reclaim their place at the top of the table, next to Bruges. For Genk, the defeat may be problematic as the club is still trying to obtain a place in play-off 1. Read more »

Anderlecht won trial against Jason Lokilo

Anderlecht won trial against Jason Lokilo

The judge has ruled in favour of Anderlecht in their case against Jason Lokilo. The club demanded a compensation of 450.000 euro but will receive 140.000 euro on court order. The club had made a legally binding agreement with the player and his parents stating the player should sign a contract in Brussels as soon as he reaches the age of 16 (the minimum age in Belgium to be able to sign contracts).
