Anderlecht couldn't manage more than a 0-0 draw against Union, and they should consider themselves lucky. The team played a very weak match, especially in the first half, where they were outclassed by Union, who had several chances. The biggest opportunity, a penalty, was wasted by Rodriguez. After halftime, Union couldn't maintain their level, although they remained the more dangerous side, with Terho hitting the crossbar. Anderlecht overcame a tough challenge in Mechelen with a 1-3 victory. Despite moments of difficulty, especially after conceding the 1-0 goal, Anderlecht managed to go into halftime with a 1-2 lead thanks to late goals from Augustinsson and Amuzu, both from corners. Anderlecht secured their first win of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over STVV. The match wasn't spectacular, with Anderlecht struggling to create chances against a weak STVV side.
