TRANSFERS Last summer, Anderlecht said goodbye to several players. The soccer season is now halfway over for these guys as well. Time to take stock. We start today with the boys from the Futures who went elsewhere.
Alonzo Engwanda (21, Utrecht)

Continue reading Engwanda (pictured) performed strongly during preparation and started the season as a key player. He immediately made a big impression, but at the end of September he injured his knee. In mid-December he made his reappearance and during the last game before the winter break he was a base player again. Engwanda's good performance did not escape Transfermarkt either. The midfielder has a market value of 2.5 million euros since December, compared to 0.4 million on his (free) transfer last summer.
Mohamed Bouchouari (24, Rodez)
For Bouchouari, his departure from the Futures also proved to be a hit. At Rodez, a mid-tier side in the French Ligue 2, he immediately secured a starting place. With four goals and four assists in 15 matches, the right winger can also present very nice statistics. By the way, he scored three goals via a direct free kick. The local newspaper La Dépêche described him in early December as one of Rodez' star players this season.
Antoine Colassin (23, Beerschot)
A third player who is successful at his new club is Colassin. Beerschot wanted to give him the necessary adjustment time, but due to injuries, Colassin joined the team sooner than expected. And he did not disappoint. With two goals and three assists in the league and two goals in the Cup of Belgium, he is one of the bright spots at the Rats, who currently rank last.
Loïc Masscho (23, Sporting Hasselt)
Masscho saw his contract with Anderlecht not renewed in the summer and only found a new club at the end of October. Masscho was on the team immediately a few days later, but in his second match he suffered a muscle injury. In late November, three weeks later, he made his comeback. It is still too early to judge, but it seems the flank defender is seen as a basic pawn at ambitious Hasselt, fourth in the highest amateur league.
Rik Vercauteren (23, Lommel)
Like the aforementioned trio, there was no place for Vercauteren at the Futures because he was too old. He went to Lommel, but is only third goalkeeper there. He played one cup game in September (0-1 loss against Belisia) and made three appearances with the U23 in the third amateur division.
Florian Nicaise (19, La Louvière).
With the Futures, Nicaise was on the bench five times in 1B last season, but did not play. At La Louvière, he joined the U21 team, hoping to advance to the first team. That did not work out yet.
Luca Monticelli (19, Hellas Verona)
Monticelli plays there with the U20 and started the season as a substitute. In recent weeks, though, he has invariably been a base pawn. The striker has scored once so far and provided two assists.
Tudor Mendel-Idowu (19, Ipswich Town)
Mendel-Idowu returned to England after one year and found shelter with Ipswich's U21. Although he cannot be found on the official club website in the player list, he regularly picked his match there in recent months. He has also been involved in several goals.
