INTERVIEWS Andy Kawaya is trying to get his career back on the right track after a disappointing 2015. At Willem II, he tries to show what he is made of. Andy Kawaya's brother talked to the press about his difficult period.

"The last couple of months were tough for Andy. Anderlecht played two matches a week, Andy was always selected but in the end he never played. Mentally that wasn't easy for him. Andy was desperate at times."

"Everyone told him that he was such a good player but nothing ever happened. That was really strange. Besnik Hasi promised him he would be the back-up of Frank Acheampong on the left wing but he never got his chance", his brother Lance reacts.

"Sign of respect and trust"

Finally, Andy Kawaya asked to leave Anderlecht on loan trial. "Anderlecht did not block a transfer, that is a sign of respect and trust. They know that he is talented and that he needs the opportunity to play. Coach Hasi wished him lots of luck when he left the training camp."

Andy Kawaya also had the opportunity to leave the time for good. "Ostend made an offer but Anderlecht refused. Willem II also did not obtain a purchasing option. Andy still wants to show his skills at Anderlecht", Lance says.
