YOUTH Now that one youngster breaks through after another in the first team of Anderlecht we went to see who is still in the waiting room of Neerpede. Today: the generation of '02

In addition to six players from 2001, five talents from 2002 signed their first professional contract at Anderlecht in early May. To convince Eliot Matazo of an extended stay it was too late, but Anderlecht managed to keep Jérémy Doku out of the hands of Liverpool.

Killian Sardella

Sardella trained at the beginning of this month with the first team. He has Congolese-Italian roots and ended up in 2011 via Wemmel and FC Brussels at Anderlecht. He used to play as central midfielder, but was turned into a central defender at Anderlecht.

Sardella is known to advance very quickly with the ball at the foot and always looking for the football solution. He is also perfectly two-footed. Last season he also made huge progress in the air.

Jérémy Doku

Doku is regarded by many as the greatest talent of Neerpede. He has Congolese parents and played football for Tubantia Borgerhout and Beerschot before moving to Anderlecht in the summer of 2012.

He played in almost all offensive positions, but is now permanently on the left wing. He is right-footed, very fast and technically strong. In the Youth League he must be able to show himself to the general public for the first time.

Antonio Zacarias

Came from KV Mechelen in 2015. Zacarias is a polyvalent defender. Very strong in the duels and with an extraordinary ball feeling. Wasn't allowed to play league games in his first year for Anderlecht, because he had signed a contract with Club Brugge.

Anouar Ait El Hadj

Played in the youth for FC Brussels and came to Anderlecht after a year of AA Gent. He is a central midfielder with an excellent technique and vista. Should still grow more body.

Chris Kalulika

Only came in 2015 from Woluwe-Zaventem. Kalulika is a fast striker who has a good dribble. Has a nose for goals.

2003

From the generation of 2003 we will in principle not see anyone in the Youth League this season. This generation became champion for the past three seasons, without anyone really sticking out.
