Leoni saved for first team

GAMES Will we (finally) get Théo Leoni's debut for the first team tomorrow? It could well be, as the RSCA Futures captain is not present tonight at Beerschot. He is, however, in the selection for the first team's match tomorrow. Will he benefit from Kristian Arnstad's suspension?


Due to Arnstad's suspension and Marco Kana's injury, Anderlecht are tight on controlling midfielders. Amadou Diawara is a certainty, but who will start next to him tomorrow to replace Arnstad remains to be seen. Majeed Ashimeru would be the logical replacement, but the fact that Leoni is not in tonight's selection for the RSCA Futures suggests that coach Robin Veldman sees more for the 22-year-old Walloon tomorrow than 90 minutes on the bench or in the stands.
