1B Next weekend is the final day of play in the Challenger Pro League. That means that after this matchday, the participants in the Promotion and Relegation Play-offs are known. The RSCA Futures are currently seventh and just inside the Relegation Play-offs, but they still have their fate in their own hands.

The Futures started strong and were in the top-6 of the standings for a long time. They are currently seventh with two points behind Lierse and one point behind Lommel. Anderlecht themselves are also only one point ahead of Deinze. But the calendar makes for an exciting finale.  After all, Lommel take on Lierse at home and Anderlecht have to visit Deinze. Lommel or Lierse will lose points anyway and if Anderlecht wins in Deinze they will finish in the top-6.

One direct ticket to 1A will be distributed in the Promotion Play-offs, while the other five clubs remain in the Challenger Pro League. Youth teams cannot promote. In that case, the ticket goes to the next 'non-youth' club. In the Relegation Play-offs, the last in the standings relegates. Youth teams can relegate, but as the points from the regular league are not halved, it seems almost impossible that the Futures will drop. After all, they have a 17-point lead over Virton and 15 points over Jong Genk.
