INTERVIEWS After the painful defeat at Genk, Anders Dreyer was allowed to come and explain it in front of Sporza's microphone. He did not mince his words. "Losing the way we did today, that should never be allowed," said the Dane.

"This comes hard. It's never nice to lose. Sometimes that can happen, but it should never be the way we did today," Dreyer said. "This is not nice for the supporters who made a long trip. But it happened. We have to move forward and be ready for Thursday."

The chances for the Europe Play-Offs have taken a big hit. "Next week against Mechelen we have to do our own work. After that, we'll see where it takes us. Hopefully that's the top eight. I still believe in it by all means."

Is the current tenth-place finish a surprise for Dreyer. "Yes, of course. We have a very good team. With five, six clean sheats in a row, we did well. Both in Europe and in the league we did well."

What happened early in the second half? "We know that if we're not ready when we get on the field, a good team like Genk will play us to pieces. That happened. We have to analyze this now so it doesn't happen again."

But how could it happen now against a top club like Genk and in an important moment of the season? "We tried, of course, but they reacted faster. Then they quickly scored two goals and so made the game dead."

Thursday comes first with the return game against AZ. Could that be a disadvantage in the battle for the eighth plate? "We like to play matches. In recent weeks we showed that when we have a match every four or five days, we can perform at a high level. What happened today, I don't know. Nobody was on level today."
