TRANSFERS It is likely that Lucas Stassin will leave Anderlecht. According to La Dernière Heure, he is in advanced talks with Westerlo. Journalist Sacha Tavolieri adds that he could sign for four years and that talks with Anderlecht are also progressing well.
Stassin still has a one-season contract and re-signing is not an immediate option. Anderlecht coach Brian Riemer does not really see it in Stassin and so a departure this summer is the best solution for all parties. Anderlecht can thus still earn something from the striker, who played ten years for purple-white.
Stassin was the exponent of the RSCA Futures' fine first half of the season. By early December, he had already scored 11 times. Then-coach Felice Mazzu began to integrate him into the A-core with a starting place against Club Brugge, a half against Zulte Waregem and a quarter at West Ham.
After Mazzu's dismissal, things stalled somewhat. During the second half of the season, he scored only four more goals for the RSCA Futures and he also dropped out of the first team. In February, he was allowed to play the second extra time against Ludogorets and briefly substituted against KV Mechelen in April.
