1B Anderlecht today announced the arrival of Marink Reedijk as the new coach of the RSCA Futures. "It is a wonderful challenge to prepare the club's young talents in a competitive environment. And to hopefully eventually see them grow into the first team," the Dutchman said.

The 31-year-old Reedijk started as a youth coach with the Dutch Football Association. After that, he was active with the youth teams of Ajax and West Bromwich Albion. Five years ago, he joined then second division club Roeselare as T2.

For the past two seasons, Reedijk has been assistant to Thomas Letsch (Peter Verbeke his first choice to succeed Vincent Kompany as Anderlecht coach last summer) and Phillip Cocu at Vitesse.

"The Belgian league is very interesting. This is also the right step for me as a coach in my development," Reedijk said.
