INTERVIEWS Often Francis Amuzu does not give interviews, but in this weekend's Het Nieuwsblad he does it again. Among other things, he talks about his missed transfer, the arrival of Thorgan Hazard and criticism from supporters. "When I make an action, too often a bad cross still follows."

Amuzu says he did not have a problem with not making a transfer this summer. "It is true that I was told that I could possibly make a move this summer, but now there are other people than then," said the winger, indicating that he did not want to go to Olympiakos at any cost. "I was open to it if it worked out. It didn't work out and that's not a problem."

Amuzu says he now wants to concentrate on Anderlecht and play a top season. "If I score more, there will also be more interest," he says.

Scoring more, that's where he says it. With many fans, Amuzu is not in the top drawer because he is not efficient enough in the zone of truth. "I have to say I do understand that fans are a little frustrated with me," he says. The Malinois indicated that he realizes his efficiency needs to improve. "When I make an action, too often a bad cross still follows. I should score more often. That needs to improve."

So Amuzu knows it and is working on it. After every practice, he stays on the field to do extra work or finishing. "Now I have to try to stay calmer in games," he said.

As a substitute, Amuzu already scored twice this season. With Thorgan Hazard, however, he gained another solid competitor. "I was happy with his arrival," Amuzu said. "I didn't get scared, but happy that we are getting a good player. In my opinion, we can play perfectly together.
