Augustinsson: "We played Standard's game"

INTERVIEWS For Ludwig Augustinsson, Anderlecht should have brought more pace to the game against Standard. Unfortunately, they failed to do so. That made the Anderlecht players angry with themselves. The level was not good enough, the left back said.


Augustinsson thought Anderlecht played along with Standard's game too much. They made sure the game was often stopped and played very physical soccer. As a result, Anderlecht played too slow. 

The Swede thought Anderlecht conceded the two goals too easily. A feeling of disappointment prevailed in the dressing room afterwards. Augustinsson called the draw a missed opportunity to take a step forward. Anderlecht has to perform better in important matches, the left back said.
