INTERVIEWS Those who watched the practice match between Anderlecht and Al-Ahli on Friday saw a very strong Nilson Angulo. Brian Riemer now calls him one of the revelations of the winter training camp. "We now choose to let him grow on, rather than spend a lot of money on a new, fast winger."
Angulo, meanwhile, has been with Anderlecht for a year and a half. He is having a strong season with the Futures. Riemer tells the papers how the Ecuadorian needed some time to adjust. He also missed his family. With Luis Vazquez, Angulo now has someone who is like a big brother to him, and Anderlecht is in the process of bringing Angulo's family to Belgium.
Riemer has every faith in Angulo. "He can really become a star," the coach said. "Nilson is fast, technical and athletic. Now if he learns to make the right decision at the right time ... We choose to let him grow, rather than spend a lot of money on a new, fast winger."
