YOUTH A few days after he was about to move to KV Mechelen, Nail Moutha has signed a first professional contract with Anderlecht. The 18-year-old Moutha emerged as the RSCA Futures' regular left back this season.

The 18-year-old Moutha has been playing for Anderlecht since he was six years old. One of the few at the Futures, he did not yet have a professional contract. His good performance caught the attention of KV Mechelen. He even took medical tests there and was about to sign there on Wednesday. On his way to Mechelen, however, he received a phone call from Anderlecht and turned right around.

Moutha has now tied his fate to Anderlecht until 2026. "We are very happy that Naïl has committed his future to RSCA," said academy director Mikkel Hemmersam. "He is a modern left back with strong attacking qualities. He has already made nice progress since last summer, we look forward to seeing him develop further at our RSCA Futures."
