18-year-old Azaouzi moves to KV Mechelen

TRANSFERS After nine years with Anderlecht, Nassim Azaouzi is leaving the purple-and-white nest. Today, the 18-year-old striker signed a contract for two seasons with an option for a third at KV Mechelen. Three years ago, Azaouzi signed a professional contract at 15, now he is leaving Anderlecht transfer-free.


Azaouzi will join KV Mechelen's U23 side. These achieved tenth place in the second amateur class B last season.

‘It is not an easy decision to leave Anderlecht,' Azaouzi said on Instagram. ‘Anderlecht was always more than a club for me. I grew up here, evolved and was part of many great moments. I thank my teammates, the staff and all the fans for their support. Anderlecht is forever in my heart.'
