TRANSFERS Jarne Flies, a 17-year-old midfielder who is part of the Futures core this season, has extended his contract with Anderlecht for another two years. Flies signed a new deal until 2027.

‘Jarne is a central midfielder Made in Neerpede,' says Mikkel Hemmersam, director of youth training. ‘He can play both offensively and defensively, making him a natural box-to-box player. During his youth training, he stood out as a creative player with a strong personality. We are delighted that he will stay at the club for another three years.'

Flies, who has played for Anderlecht since he was 8 years old, signed his first professional contract two years ago. That tied him to purple-white until 2025.
