Vertonghen and Hazard make progress

Good news from the infirmary. The recovery of Jan Vertonghen and Thorgan Hazard is moving in the right direction. Hazard has been training with the group for a while and Vertonghen is finally pain free and may increase training work, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.

Hazard's rehabilitation can be partially followed via Mauve. Among other things, he climbed Mont Ventoux together with brother Kilian, father Thierry and Niels Mathieu, head physio at Anderlecht. It is not impossible that Hazard will still play this year, but he might first play with the RSCA Futures.

After struggling for months with a nasty Achilles tendon injury, Jan Vertonghen may increase his training efforts. Vertonghen is finally pain-free and may soon be able to join group training. An exact date cannot yet be given, but if everything now goes according to plan, there is a chance Vertonghen will also play this year.
