YOUTH A few days after his debut in Anderlecht's main squad, Ali Maamar has extended his contract at purple-white until 2028. ‘Ali is doing very well this season for the RSCA Futures. This is therefore a good moment to confirm our mutual commitment,' Tim Borguet, Anderlecht's head of youth training, explained.
‘Maamar is a right (wing) back who can also play against his foot,' said Borguet. ‘He has a lot of volume and brings depth, he often gets to the back line and has a good cross in his feet. Ali's debut for the first team is a nice compliment to his exemplary discipline and the path he and his family have taken at Neerpede.'
In May last year, Maamar signed his first professional contract. That ran until 2026. So now he is adding two more years.
