1B - 1B Anderlecht has secured the services of Naïm Aarab, the coach of neighboring Union's U23 team, for next season. Aarab, himself a youth product of Anderlecht and ex-soccer player, will have to ease the transition of talented players from 1B to 1A at Anderlecht.
Het Nieuwsblad knows that 37-year-old Aarab is the strong man of the youth academy at Union. “He gave the Unionists' youth academy a new identity,” the newspaper said.
Aarab was born and raised in Anderlecht and played for the youth of purple and white. As a professional footballer, he was later at Charleroi, STVV, Deinze and Tubize, among others.
