WEBSITE Now that Wouter Vandenhaute has stepped down as chairman, options are reportedly being explored to remove his blocking minority at the board level. Most of these options involve the full or partial buyout of the shares held by Vandenhaute and his business partners. The press is also abuzz with rumors that foreign investors are interested in getting involved. There have already been reports of interest from Qatar and the US.
Whether this is actually correct remains to be seen. If such talks are taking place, they will always be conducted with the utmost discretion. But in any case, these are not science fiction scenarios. That is why we would like to ask for your opinion on this in a new web poll. Do you think foreign investors are a good fit for RSC Anderlecht, or should the club remain entirely in Belgian hands? You can find the link to vote below.
In the previous poll, we asked for your opinion on Olivier Renard's summer transfer window, and the verdict was almost unanimous: a failure! No less than 40 percent of visitors consider the transfer window a fiasco, while another 34 percent have a rather negative opinion of it. This means that three-quarters of fans are dissatisfied with this summer's transfers. Rarely have we seen such unanimity in a web poll. About 18 percent remain neutral, while 7 percent have a rather positive feeling about the transfer activities. Less than 1 percent were really enthusiastic.
