INTERVIEWS For the first time in almost two years, visiting fans will be allowed at a match between Anderlecht and Standard Liège. Anderlecht coach Besnik Hasi believes this is a good thing, and he hopes everything goes smoothly. "The two supporter groups must ensure that the people who banned away fans for the past two years don't get their way."

"It's good that visiting fans will be back," Hasi said at his press conference this afternoon. "It's a Clasico. If we go there, you want Standard to welcome our supporters. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly this time and it doesn't get out of hand. Rivalry is allowed, it used to be on the pitch too. As long as it stays within limits, it's okay. The two supporter groups must ensure that the people who banned away fans for the past two years don't get justice."

Last week at Leuven, Anderlecht also played without away fans, although for a different reason then. They stayed away to protest the limited number of tickets they were given. Hasi understands their reasons. "I saw some supporters at the Futures' match against Club NXT. We knew why they weren't there at OHL. I completely understand their reasons."

"Standard is a team that's growing"

Hasi is hoping for an intense battle between the lines on Sunday, on a sporting level. A Clasico is always special, regardless of the score. As long as I can remember, it's always been very intense. I was an assistant coach for the two test matches. It was always a war of football. It was always fun.

With Vincent Euvrard, Standard has had a coach Hasi knows well for a few weeks now. He thinks he's doing a good job. "Against Club Brugge was their best match: in terms of play, in terms of intensity. I think if it stayed 11-a-side, Standard had the best chance of winning. We see the emphasis Euvrard places on them. Defensively, they have a good block. In possession, they have wingers with a move and two strikers who work hard for the team. It's a team that's growing."
