
YOUTH The Belgian U17 team won their first match of the European Championship qualifying tournament 1-0 against Moldova. Three Anderlecht players formed the front line. One of them, Joshua Nga Kana (photo), scored the only goal.
Nga Kana started the match alongside Jayden Onia-Seke and Ilyas Benktib. Onia-Seke was substituted after 53 minutes. Nga Kana and Benktib were substituted after 72 minutes. In the 88th minute, Rune Verstrepen also came on as a substitute.
The match was played in Hasselt. On Saturday at 7 p.m., the young Devils will play against Belarus in Lommel. On Tuesday at 3 p.m., the final match against Norway is on the agenda. It will take place at Standard's youth academy.
