INTERVIEWS Anas Tajaouart was also part of the Moroccan U20 team that became world champions. "I didn't put any pressure on myself in this tournament," he said. Instead, his confidence grew as the tournament progressed. "But the realization that we had truly become world champions only came later," he said, describing his feelings. He also emphasized the crucial role of his coach, Mo Ouahbi, who has managed to create a strong team dynamic.
Like Maamar, Tajaouart wants to progress quickly in the Moroccan team. At Anderlecht, his ambition is to permanently join the first team. "I want to earn the trust of coach Besnik Hasi," he said.
His development is often compared to that of Théo Leoni, but Tajaouart is determined to break through faster than his predecessor.
Tajaouart was also delighted with the appreciation he received from his teammates, supporters, and the club after his participation in the World Cup.
