OTHER According to Het Nieuwsblad, Anderlecht is in talks with several players whose contracts are expiring. This is the case for Thorgan Hazard, Yari Verschaeren, and Marco Kana. Some players may have to take a pay cut.

Hazard and Verschaeren are among the club's top earners, with salaries of more than €1.5 million. Hazard is getting older, but is still important to Anderlecht. Verschaeren plays less, but remains a product of the club's youth academy. “We're not going to just let someone like Yari go,” says Olivier Renard. Although he also adds that he wants to see Verschaeren try to play more minutes. Renard confirms that both players' salaries will have to be reduced in a new contract because Anderlecht can still pay a good salary, but not as much as a few years ago.

Marco Kana's contract is also ending, and he has been a surprise starter this season. He is doing well and still feels at home at Anderlecht, where his two younger brothers also play. Cresus (15) in particular is an upcoming talent.

Colin Coosemans has a contract until 2027, but has not yet responded to a new proposal. The goalkeeper wants an improved contract and Renard says that the contract offered to the goalkeeper is in line with current standards. He also adds that Coosemans' situation is less urgent.
