TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht has shown interest in the young Burkinabé talent Mohamed Zongo, who recently featured at the U17 World Cup. The 15-year-old attacking midfielder from the Tenakourou academy impressed during the tournament, drawing the attention of several top European clubs. According to African media, Zongo — who already has seven caps for Burkina Faso U17 with four goals and three assists — is being monitored by, among others, Manchester United, Villarreal and Manchester City. Olivier Renard, Anderlecht's sporting director, was present at the event.

Although talks are said to have taken place with Zongo's academy, no agreement has yet been reached. FIFA rules effectively prohibit international transfers of players under 18, except in a few tightly regulated exceptions, which would make any potential move highly complicated.
