INTERVIEWS The match between Antwerp and Anderlecht had two completely different halves. Before the break, the home team was clearly the better side, but after the break, the Purple & White fought back. While Antwerp coach Joseph Oosting lamented his team's failure to seal the match, Besnik Hasi once again expressed his incomprehension about the penalty awarded to RAFC. “But you can't take that kind of attitude into a match,” he said.

“What we showed in the first half was simply not good enough,” Hasi said after the match. Anderlecht faced a 2-0 deficit at halftime at the Bosuil Stadium. “It was completely different from what we had prepared and practiced. We knew that Antwerp had been playing with a lot of intensity in recent weeks, carried by the crowd: pace, strength in duels, second balls. You have to go along with that. We failed to do so.”

According to the Anderlecht coach, his team gave away the goals too easily. “We conceded two and created barely one real chance ourselves. That's far too little for a team like ours.”

After the break, however, Anderlecht showed a different side and managed to get a point. “In the second half, we brought a lot more aggression and energy. We won more duels and were sharper on the second ball. That proves that this group is making progress, both mentally and physically,” Hasi analyzed.

Nevertheless, he remained critical. “You can't start a game the way we did in the first half. Everything has to be right for us: physical readiness, mentality, and intensity. Only then can our qualities come to the fore. If one of those elements is missing, it becomes very difficult. This match is a clear lesson for the future.”
