INTERVIEWS Ali Mamaar did not spare his team after Anderlecht's defeat against Charleroi. According to the right back, the first half in particular was below par and the Purple & White will have to step up their game after the winter break.
“Our first half was not good at all,” Maamar said. “We have to use the upcoming winter break to rest well. After that, a new phase of the championship will begin.” The defender therefore sees the break as an opportunity to return with a fresh mindset.
Maamar hopes above all for a clear response from his team. He regrets the loss of points in the last game of the year. “It's a shame to end the year like this,” he said.
The right back also looked ahead; despite the disappointment, he sees potential. “There are good things to build on for the future.”
