OTHER Het Laatste Nieuws is currently camped outside the gates of the training centre and Neerpede. The newspaper has learned from its sources that crisis talks are taking place with CEO Kenneth Bornauw (photo), Olivier Renard and his right-hand man Thibault Dochy. The fate of Besnik Hasi is reportedly on the agenda.
The meeting between the three (sports) bosses began around 10 a.m. At around 12.30 p.m., it was still ongoing.
This is the third time this season that the club has been in crisis. Hasi's head was already on the chopping block at the end of October, but a strong November saved his skin. Since the beginning of December, however, it has been back to square one. In the last six league games, Anderlecht has barely managed to scrape together 5 out of 18 points.
With matches against Standard and Genk, the Purple & White have crucial games ahead of them in the league. In addition, there is the double confrontation with Antwerp in the semi-finals of the Belgian Cup. After a few strong weeks, the Great Old is also performing poorly again with 0 out of 6 points. The cup final is a must for Anderlecht to give the season some colour.
